Good afternoon everyone,

It’s Fiona at the helm this week, back off the subs bench after quite a spell, and pleased to do so whilst Steve and Liz take a break. And it’s Thursday. Eek. Apologies to all who have had to wait an extra day for their Trendlewood news fix.

Honestly, though, did you notice? Thought not.

So, with apologies over (and you’ll be pleased to hear Pauline is in charge next week), let’s crack on with the info. Prayer as ever, coming first before everything else.

PRAYER DIARY:

People
Ian and Helen
Adanna, AJ, Nonso and Ife

Roads
Vynes Way and Cleeve Place

Community
We pray for those preparing to undertake the summer work on local school buildings. For safety on site.

Mission Partners
We pray for the chaplaincy work of Neil Wylie at Nailsea School through the Connect School’s project.

Morning Prayer
There is no Morning Prayer at the Vicarage for next week. It will restart on Monday 24th June.

Thanks to everyone who took part in #thykingdomcome prayer initiative – Archbishop Welby said: “We’re all different, we look different, we have different cultures and backgrounds, and yet in Jesus, we’re bought to be one.”

Thanks also from Phil Williams to all who prayed and served at the annual skate festival. There is a great write up in this week’s North Somerset Times.

Sunday
We continue in the Pastoral Epistles and Caroline preaches on Titus 1. Mike H leads.

Evening Service
We will be starting an experimental Sunday evening meeting on July 7th. It will be in a home, not the school, to begin with and will be monthly at first. Michelle will be hosting.

Passion Play
Michelle is organising a Passion Play for Easter 2020 to be performed in the Precinct on Holy Saturday 11th April.

It is her vision and hope that Christians and unchurched people from all across the town will be involved with this community retelling of Easter in a fresh and vibrant way.

People with all types of gifts and talents are required from actors, singers, writers, directors, to stage managers, stewards, techies, administrators and even crowd gatherers.

If you are interested in being involved, even making tea and cake for rehearsal times, then please do come along to the ‘register your interest’ meeting on Sunday June 23rd, 4pm-5pm at the Methodist Church.

If you would like to be involved but honestly cannot make that meeting then let Michelle know.

Job Vacancies
Another rep for our liaison with Christians Together
Another Duty or Church Warden to shadow the current team and step in next year
We are still in need of someone to operate the laptop on 2nd Sundays. Could you learn to do this?

Weekly Email
Pauline is in charge next week. Do get in touch with her by Weds noon if there are things to include.

With love, F
