Quiet Days

A day spent with others in quiet reflection, prayer or meditation. After a cup of cofee, introductions and a short Bible study there is an extended period of quiet. Lunch is provided and not eaten in silence. The pattern is repeated in the afternoon whch ends with a cuppa at 3.30. Maximum attendance of 12 each time. Small donations are welcome towards the cost of food, but not essential.   December’s is with a special Advent focus.

Andy’s Congregation, Backwell School

Andy’s is a monthly all-age congregation run jointly by Trendlewood Church and St Andrew’s, Backwell, taking it in turns to be responsible for the service. It is a lively morning with a cafe running throughout. There are usually about 50 attendees with many children under 11. Normal services at St Andrew’s & Trendlewood as usual.

Trendlewood Church Council

The Trendlewood Church Council are the trustees of the Church. They meet regularly to stay on top of the church vision, teaching and outreach programme, pastoral care, finances, safeguarding and special events. The Vicar is the Chair of the Council and Sarah Bird the Secretary.

Café Create

Cafe Create is a bi-monthly arts cafe run at the Trinity Centre, Old Church, Nailsea. Open mic slots can be booked by contacting the organiser in advance. Headline acts are by invitation only and are usually paid a fee. The cafe/bar sticks to local and fair-trade produce. Donations are sought towards the cost of the event.

Preachers’ Support Group

The Preachers’ Support Group meets every couple of months at the Vicarage, on a Monday evening. All levels of experience welcome as we meet for some training/sharing and to discuss work in progress. Drinks from 7.30; meeting runs 7.45-9.15.
