Good Afternoon Everyone,
Mark, Fiona, Toby and Adam
Dave and Pam (Pam’s Mum died)
We pray for all those who make their living working from house to house – window cleaners, tradespeople, gardeners, repairers and builders.
Mercy Ships rely on a huge back-room team. Pray for volunteer chefs, bakers, choppers, and washer-uppers, to join their incredible team.
Morning Prayer next week by Zoom is on Monday and Wednesday at 9.00 a.m. Email Michelle for the joining code.
This week’s Sunday service will be at the school. If you would like to be a guest please book in with Michelle (for track and trace purposes). The Sunday safety protocol is at the end of this email and will appear every week from now on.
Michelle will be speaking and leading, the next in our series on James. We reach chapter two.
There will be some extra resources for children on the website and recordings on YouTube. I have prepared a video assembly for Golden Valley School. If you would like to see it (seven minutes long) it is also on our YouTube Channel.
After the service there will be Zoom coffee as usual, at 11.30. I will host.
One World Week 18/10-25/10
On behalf of Christians Together Michelle has made a short video for One World Week. Access it here.
Annual Meeting (25/10)
Our annual meeting is next week, Sunday 25th October. It will be online. The service will end by 11.00 a.m. and we will reconvene online at 11.30. For members of our church who have not been involved in our online activities we encourage you to pair up with someone who has so you can join in this important meeting from their home.
Lindsay has offered to be Church Warden to replace Trevor as he stands down. We will record our thanks to Trevor at the meeting. As this is an open and democratic process I remind you that it is still possible for others to be nominated and seconded to stand.
Karan is standing as Deanery Synod rep. We still need two further Church Council reps, a treasurer and Church Council Secretary.

Safety Protocol for Sunday Services at Golden Valley Arrive at 10.10 for 10.15. Use the one way system. Come in through the lobby (one family at a time). Sanitise hands. Take places. Wear masks. As we are keeping fresh air circulating I suggest warm clothes.
If you need to get up and leave please follow the same one-way system. Try not to walk in front of the cameras.
If you use the loos please clean them yourself afterwards. Cleaning stuff will be around.
After the service, if you do not wish to stay for cleaning and packing, please leave promptly, sanitising your hands as you go. Leave through the fire exit door at the far side of the hall. If you wish to stay and chat outside please keep to the rules of six.
Your name needs to be with the service leader for track and trace purposes. This information will be retained for three weeks.
Please try to book in good time. The current limit is about 25 people, depending on how many are families/couples/singles. First come first served.
