Sunday (28/11)
Busy Sunday. We meet in the school at 10.15 a.m. for a service led by myself. I will also preach the second of our two sermons on commitment. This week we will look at our commitment of time and talents.

Please bring your financial commitment response (attached to the last two weekly e-mails) which we will offer as part of our worship.

We will share communion together (in one kind only).

We will mark the end of Simon’s time as Church Warden with a gift

Your presence will continue to be recorded for track and trace purposes, the details retained for 21 days and then destroyed. If you wish to move to the back of the hall when people are singing we understand. The hall is well ventilated at all times. Refreshments are served after the service.

We are encouraged to continue to wear masks when circulating or mingling indoors, and during singing.

We will be remembering people by name. If you would like the name of a loved one to be read out during the service please include details on the response slip sent last week, by 29/11.

Even if you are unable to attend the service we would be happy to remember by name anyone for whom you provide details.

The service will be followed by light refreshments (Covid restrictions permitting).

If you wish to attend please book in using this link:

Christians Together Prayer Meeting (7/12)
There will be two prayer meetings at Christ Church on Tuesday 7th December. One from 2 – 3 p.m. and one from 3 – 4 p.m. The aim is to pray for the ecumenical work in our town and district and Stephen from Holy Trinity leads this ministry. Please feel free to come to whichever suits you.

Housekeeping at the School
We are aware that it is hard to get a decent airflow and keep the hall warm. We will try something different this week but please bear in mind it may still be chilly. Why not bring a rug?

The Church Council prompted us to start doing birthdays again as part of our worship. But our birthday song will not be re-appearing.

Service Archives
Services from recent weeks are available on YouTube.

Men’s Breakfast
There will be no Trendlewood men’s breakfast on December 4th as many are away.

Home Groups
Would you like to be in one of our home groups? Please make sure Michelle has you on her list as this ministry has been slowed by Covid and we would now like to get on with it. We have the names of five people who wish to join a group and so will be starting a completely new one.

General Job Vacancies

  • Children’s work co-ordinator and week-by-week helpers

  • We need more help with the laptop. Could you learn to do this?

  • One more volunteer for the sound-desk and tech work would be appreciated

  • Editors for our social media and web-presence (I have done a lot of this but it is not a priority for Morey)

Details of all these jobs available from wardens or clergy. Do have an informal chat.

I am away for the second half of next week (Weds afternoon – Saturday morning) so will send out the weekly email a little early. Deadline for contributions is 5 p.m. Tuesday.

With love,
