Attachments – (2) Connect Prayer Meeting, Monthly news sheet
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Sincere apologies to those who found the Zoom service such a disappointing experience last Sunday. The Zoom technology had been timed to update at a time convenient for business (but not for us). The service is now edited into watchable form on YouTube.
If you like to print off a monthly paper news sheet it is attached.

We meet in the school at 10.15 a.m. We will continue our series on Mark’s Gospel. Pauline will be leading and I will be looking at Mark 6:30-44.
The service will also be available on Zoom with the option of staying on to chat afterwards.
Zoom doors will open at about 10.05.
If you would like to join the service on Zoom then please have both your audio and video off during the service. The Zoom meeting will be kept going after the service to enable people to have a chat then. The link is the same as last week.
Connect Schools Prayer meeting (5/5)
Details of this event attached.
Annual meeting (9/5)
Our Annual Meeting will be held on Zoom at 11.30 on Sunday 9th May. The agenda and Annual report will be circulated shortly. All our major office-holders are standing again (hooray!) but these are elected posts and so it is fine for others to stand. I would appreciate a preliminary chat with anyone thus standing. There will be two vacancies on the Church Council to be filled.
We need details of your availability for June-September please for the next rota. We will be asking for all contributions to be ‘live’ from then on so please tell us you are unavailable if you would prefer not to attend the school.
As ever, preachers and leaders tell Steve. For all other rotas, tell Sarah.
Our small group of 11-16s are studying the Psalms. Following the key idea last week of telling God how you feel, they wrote this psalm as a team effort:
Psalm 151 by Last Sunday
I want to tell you how I feel God,
When I feel defeated, remind me of the reasons,
When you helped me before, when I called to you,
I didn’t have the right words to say, but you still heard me pray.
You picked me from the floor and into your care,
You cared for me when others didn’t
And even when you don’t answer how I expect, I still know you’re there.
I know you’ll always hear me
And that’s why I will always love you.
Our Parish Profile core team of Simon, Lindsay and Mark had a good productive meeting with Wraxall & Failand’s core team last Thursday evening and made good progress on the joint statement to front our Parish Profiles. We have another meeting planned for this Thursday evening to try and finalise the entire document and would appreciate your prayers.
